Lionel Rumi (born August 12, 1986 in Lyon, in Rhône-Alpes, France) is a French ice dancer who currently represents the country of Israel with partner, Brooke Frieling. He was a member of the French National Team between 2002 and 2008. He is also a model.

Career

Before representing Israel with Brooke, Lionel skated for France. He partnered with Lætitia Fenet at the National Level and then Élodie Brouiller and Scarlett Rouzet[1] at the National and International Level from 1999 to 2007. He has participated in many international events including Junior Grand Prix ISU events from 2003 through 2007 and the European Youth Olympic Games in 2003. He is also the two time winner of the French Master's in the Junior category and the French Champion in other different categories. During his last season with Scarlett Rouzet, they were substitute team for the 2008 European Championships and then for the 2010 World Championships with Brooke Frieling. He has left everything in France to live in the United States to follow his sport and passion. He finished 20th of his first European Championships last January in Bern, Switzerland.
